Who Can Be Admitted

For individuals who are struggling with opioid addiction and other substance use disorders, Tuerk House’s medication-assisted treatment programs can help. How It Works

In medication-assisted treatment, the administered medications do NOT make the patient “high.” Instead, they restore balance to the areas of the brain that are affected by addiction. This relieves the patient’s withdrawal symptoms and psychological cravings, allowing the brain to heal while he or she works toward recovery.

Types of Medications

Treatment is customized to each patient’s needs using a variety of medication options, including methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone and naloxone. All medications are FDA-approved for treatment of substance use disorders.
